  1. Grab a medicine ball and stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent.
  2. Bend over from the hips until your back forms a 45-degree angle with the floor.
  3. Pull the medicine ball up, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  4. Pause, then lower the weights. That’s one rep.
  5. Do as many reps as you can in 45 seconds, then take a 15-second rest.

Medicine Ball Bicycle Twist:

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent. Hold a medicine ball directly above your chest.
  2. Curl your upper body, and at the top of the crunch, rotate your torso so that your left elbow meets your right knee. Extend your left leg at the same time, as if you’re pedaling.
  3. Return to start and repeat on the other side. That’s one rep.
  4. Do as many reps as you can in 45 seconds, then take a 15-second rest.

Deadlift with Medicine Ball:

  1. Hold your medicine ball at arm’s length in front of your thighs. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent. Brace your core.
  2. Bend your knees, bend at your hips, and lower until your thighs are almost parallel to the floor.
  3. Pause, then squeeze your glutes and raise your torso back to the starting position. That’s one rep.
  4. Do as many reps as you can in 45 seconds, then take 15-second rest.

  5. Firmly grip kettlebells, keeping arms and back straight and feet flat on floor.

  8. Repeat 6 to 8 times. Perform 1 set to start, and work up to 3 to 4 sets as you build up your strength.

  1. Stand with feet a little wider than shoulder-width apart, toes pointed out slightly.
  2. Hold a kettlebell with both hands around the sides of the handle, not from the top of the handle, and keep it close to your chest.
  3. Slowly bend both knees so that the thighs are almost parallel to the floor. Keep elbows forward and back straight.
  4. Using your leg muscles, with your upper body still, stand up to your starting position. Your feet should remain firmly on the floor.
  5. Repeat 6 to 8 times. Perform 1 set to start, and work up to 3 to 4 sets as you build up your strength.
